Metal Roofing Components

Drip Edge

Drip edge is a metal flashing that is installed along the edges of a roof to prevent water from seeping into the underlying materials. It’s typically made from aluminum, steel, or copper and is available in a variety of colors and sizes to match your roofing material. Installing a drip edge can help extend the life of your roof by preventing water damage and reducing the risk of leaks.

Ridge Cap

A ridge cap is a metal cap that covers the peak of a roof where two sloped sections meet. It’s designed to provide a watertight seal and protect against wind, rain, and snow. Ridge caps are typically made from the same material as the rest of your metal roofing and are available in a variety of profiles and colors to match your roof.

Hip Cap

A hip cap is a metal cap that covers the hips of a roof where two sloped sections meet at an angle. It’s similar to a ridge cap but is designed to fit the angle of the hip rather than the peak of the roof. Like ridge caps, hip caps are available in a variety of profiles and colors to match your metal roofing material. Installing hip caps can help prevent water damage and extend the life of your roof.

FORM ROOF PANELS

On the day of installation we will remove the old roofing materials and repairing any damaged areas. It’s essential to have a clean, flat surface to work on to ensure that the metal roof is properly installed and will last for years.

After confirming the measurements, the roof panels are roll formed on site from Englert coil stock.

Install the Metal Panels:

Once the underlayment is in place, it’s time to install the metal panels. This involves cutting the panels to size, fastening them to the roof deck, and overlapping them to create a watertight seal. It’s essential to  install the panels to specification to ensure that they are properly secured and aligned.

Finish the Installation:

Finally, the last step is to finish the installation by adding trim pieces, such as drip edge, ridge cap, and hip cap, to seal off the edges of the roof and provide a finished look. It’s important to pay close attention to detail when finishing the installation to ensure that the roof is watertight and will last for years to come. Once the installation is complete, it’s important to regularly inspect and maintain the metal roof to ensure its longevity and to prevent any potential issues.
